Free pay calculator

HGV weekly pay calculator.

Use the rates stated in your contract to estimate basic pay, overtime and other additions.

The short answerMultiply each group of paid hours by its contracted rate, add contractual enhancements and subtract relevant pre-tax deductions. Overtime premiums depend on the employment contract.

HGV weekly pay calculator

Estimate gross weekly pay using your own contracted rates. This is not a tax or payslip calculation.

Use the rates in your contract. Overtime premiums are not automatically required, and this estimate excludes tax, National Insurance, pension and holiday-pay treatment.

How the HGV pay estimate works

The tool adds basic pay and overtime pay, then includes any entered additions and deductions. It does not estimate PAYE, National Insurance, pension or take-home pay.

Use the rates in your contract

There is no universal HGV overtime or night rate. Employers do not automatically have to pay an overtime premium, although total average pay must not fall below the applicable minimum wage.

Compare estimates with your payslip

Keep shift start and finish times, paid and unpaid breaks, rates and additions beside the final payslip. CabLog is designed to keep these working records together.

Common questions

Is overtime always paid at time-and-a-half?

No. Overtime rates normally depend on the employment contract.

Does this calculate take-home pay?

No. It estimates gross contractual pay before tax, National Insurance, pension and other payslip adjustments.

Can I include night or weekend enhancements?

Yes. Enter their combined value under other additions, using the terms in your contract.
