Your information
Privacy notice
This notice explains how CabLog handles personal information collected through cablog.co.uk and enquiries about the private pilot.
Last updated: 19 July 2026
CabLog v42 is in private pilot. The website does not create user accounts, take payments, store driver records or use advertising or analytics cookies. Records entered into the pilot app stay in that driver’s browser unless they export and share a backup.
1. Who is responsible for your information?
CabLog is operated by Michael Ioannis, trading as CabLog, who is the data controller for information collected through this website. CabLog currently operates in the United Kingdom. You can contact us at support@cablog.co.uk.
2. Information we collect
We collect information only when you choose to contact us. This may include:
- your email address;
- your name, if you include it;
- the contents of your message; and
- whether you requested CabLog pilot access and basic information you provide about your phone or driving work.
Our hosting and email providers may also process basic technical and security information, such as IP addresses and message-delivery records, to operate and protect their services.
3. Why we use it and our lawful basis
We use contact information to respond to enquiries, manage pilot access and feedback, send requested launch updates and protect the website from misuse.
- Consent: when you request pilot access, offer feedback or ask to receive launch updates. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests: when we respond to an enquiry, keep a record of correspondence or protect the website and email service.
4. Who receives your information?
We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by service providers needed to operate the website and email forwarding, including Cloudflare and the provider of our receiving email inbox. We disclose information only where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.
5. International processing
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we rely on the provider's appropriate legal safeguards for international transfers.
6. How long we keep it
Pilot contact and feedback details are kept while the pilot is active and for up to 12 months after the last meaningful contact, unless you ask us to remove them or they are needed longer for legal or security reasons.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
The current CabLog website does not set analytics, advertising or preference cookies. If this changes, we will update this notice and introduce any consent controls required by law.
8. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase your information, restrict or object to its use, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent. To exercise a right or leave the pilot contact list, email support@cablog.co.uk.
9. Complaints
Please contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office. Visit ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
10. Changes to this notice
We will update this notice before CabLog introduces accounts, subscriptions, cloud-stored driver records, analytics or materially different uses of personal information.
